CAREGIVER PROGRAM

Caregiver is a program that will provide the support needed for our caregivers in the community. We understand the important role caregivers have in a Veteran’s life, and it is essential for caregivers to know they are not alone. STAIVA wants to help our Caregivers to strive for excellence as they simultaneously improve the lives of their Veterans, loved ones and that of themselves.  

A Caregiver Specialist will be available to provide material and support on how to enhance the management of daily activities and improve care for caregivers. The specialist will help the caregiver better understand the importance of their role through the teaching of skills, coaching and techniques that will include coping skills, relationship skills, self-care and relaxation techniques.
